When your pipes freeze it can also cause problems with your bath and shower faucet.  For example you may only be able to get cold water and it may become impossible to turn the water off.  Luckily Dave is handy enough to fix this, but it did take a while.  I was not amused.
For the record, this is the downstairs bathroom, we did not put it in and it will be move and remodeled to better match the house at some point.  Just didn't want anyone to think this was representative of our tastes in home decor.
